Hunter Mill will compete in NVSL Division 8 meets on Saturday mornings and will continue to do Monday night meets with neighboring pools in Vienna.
Children of Hunter Mill Swim & Racquet Club members and lease holders (18 & under) are eligible to participate on the Hunter Mill 'Shark' Swim Team.
- Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 meters) and be able to handle a 45 - 60 minute practice session. Swimmers don't need to be legal in all strokes to join the team.
- Swimmers 7 years old and under with no prior experience on the Hunter Mill Swim Team must be evaluated. These evaluations will take place prior to the morning swim season practices (additional details will be sent to new families via email). The swim evaluation will determine if the swimmer will be on the Hunter Mill "Shark" Swim Team or the "Mini-Shark" program.
Our Mini-Shark program will begin once morning practices begins on Thursday, June 18th, 2026. The program is geared towards children ages 4 - 6 years old, who are not comfortable swimming one length of the pool. Some kids start the season as Mini-Sharks and make so much progress that they may be asked to move up to the regular Swim Team practice.
